Patron Helen Dalley attends Prevention Magazine's National Prevention Week launch

This week started Prevention Magazine's National Prevention Week (23 March - 27 March). A breakfast launch was held on Tuesday 24 March at the Botanic Gardens in Sydney. Osteoporosis Australia Patron Helen Dalley was in attendance along with an inspiring line up of National Prevention Week Ambassadors including: Michelle Bridges, Rebecca Gibney, Chris Bath, Marta Dusseldorp, Nicky Buckley, Nartasha Belling and Gabi Hollows, all of whom are featured in the April edition of the magazine.

The national initiative aims to increase awareness of the importance of preventative health. 'Just a few simple lifestyle changes could change your health' said Prevention Magazine Australia's Editor Jacqui Mooney.

There is a lot that can be done to prevent osteoporosis. The earlier individuals start taking care of their bone health with adequate calcium, vitamin D and weight bearing exercise, the more likely they are to stave off the disease later in life.
