OA National Strategic Action Plan for Osteoporosis

National Strategic Action Plan for Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis Australia (OA) has led the development and production of the new National Strategic Action Plan for Osteoporosis on behalf of the Australian Government Department of Health.

The purpose of this National Action Plan (the Plan) is to provide an evidence-based road map to guide national efforts on key priorities, focus areas and specific actions to improve osteoporosis diagnosis, prevention, treatment and care in Australia.

The Plan has been developed with the expertise and input from members of the National Action Plan Stakeholder Group and Working Committee representing key individuals and stakeholder groups across Australia in osteoporosis prevention, management and care, and those living with osteoporosis; as well as a broad range of targeted consultations with consumers, health professionals, researchers, policy makers and health service providers.
