Leading experts gather in Milan for World Congress of Osteoporosis
The World Congress of Osteoporosis started on the 26 March in Milan. The event is hosted by the International Osteoporosis Foundation and the European Society for Clinical and Economic Aspects of Osteoporosis and Osteoarthritis (ESCEO).
"This is the world's largest congress dedicated to the epidemiology, pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment of osteoporosis, osteoarthritis and related diseases," said Jean-Yves Reginster, ESCEO President and Congress Co-Chair. 3000 delegates from 60 countries are in attendance. The congress showcases new research and management options in the field. Musculoskeletal conditions effect over 1.7 billion people worldwide.
