We are pleased to announce the upgraded Know Your Bones assessment is now live!
Greg Lyubomirsky, CEO Osteoporosis Australia says “we aim to reach as many Australians as possible with this important risk assessment tool, and the improvements in design and functionality have been made so it is now even easier to assess your risk of osteoporosis and fractures.”
The Know Your Bones website was developed by Osteoporosis Australia and the Garvan Institute of Medical Research. The online tool is based on research results from Garvan's long standing study of osteoporosis in Australia. The website provides consumers with a report showing results and highlights any potential risks.
In 2018 it is estimated there will be over 165,000 broken bones due to poor bone health.
Greg says “we know we can do better and many of these fractures could and should be prevented. The Know Your Bones website is a useful tool to help people understand their risk and we encourage people to speak with their doctor if risks are identified in their results.”
