About Us

Osteoporosis Australia

Osteoporosis Australia is a national not-for-profit organisation responsible for providing osteoporosis information and services to the community and health professionals.

Greg Lyubomirsky, CEO

Osteoporosis is a common disease affecting 1.2 million Australians.  A staggering 6.3 million Australians have low bone density.
We have a real opportunity to improve bone health for all Australians through education and awareness.  Our task is to communicate the positive and easy steps people can take to improve their bone health and prevent osteoporosis.  Think calcium, vitamin D and exercise.  When osteoporosis is diagnosed, there are treatments available to prevent bone loss.
Your bone health is important so please have a look through the valuable information on this website.   Let’s work together to reduce the incidence of osteoporosis and osteoporotic fractures.
